Project Description

We treasure our 15-year relationship with Eldorado Gold as much as the world values gold. Our design of this corporate office needed to illustrate their corporate brand and story in the time it takes to flip a gold coin. And so we did.

As guests walk off the elevator they enter a stylized tactile grotto with dramatically lit rough-hewn textured stone tiles depicting the heart of a mine.

A commissioned double-sided hand carved 20-foot long glass wall is the centerpiece for both the lobby and staff lounge. The glass sculpture depicts raw gold veins and nuggets embedded miles underground. A molten river of gold floor mosaic tile flows through the lobby offering an iridescent visual cue to reception.

The lobby juxtaposes the primal beauty of gold with an elegant head office design.

Gold tiles, sleek travertine floors and veneer millwork with stainless steel insets were carefully selected to support the Eldorado story of its gold mines in Turkey, China and Brazil to its world headquarters in the heart of Vancouver.
